- Soulein has a record of service to Silvermoon that spans a century. A hero of the Khaz Modan campaign in the Second War, Soulein commands the respect of many Sin'dorei veterans.
- Soulein heads a major mana distribution operation based in Netherstorm which provides Silvermoon's most desired product at affordable prices.
- During his battles with the Amani and later against the Horde, Soulein employed brutal tactics like torture and crucification, earning him a fearsome reputation.

Politics:
- Soulein belongs to one of the founding families of Silvermoon, the Solanthanores. As a member of the Silvermoon's nobility, Soulein is guaranteed a seat in the Senate, the primary advisory body to the King.
- With the Sunstrider line gone, the Senate's power and influence has grown dramatically. Soulein quietly advocates for the complete abolition of the Monarchy and the transfer of power from the Regency to the Senate and its varying magistrates.
- Soulein has also made it known that he wishes those Sin'dorei who fought for Kael'thas pardoned and allowed to return home.
- Soulein considers the Cult of the Light unnecessary and opposes its growth.

- Soulein is a temperate drinker, usually only consuming wine.
- In an absence for the taste of hard liquor, Soulein regularly consumes demonic energy - often in the form of Demon Blood - in addition to standard mana.
- Soulein is a consummate Realist, though he puts the security and liberty of Silvermoon before all other considerations.
- Soulein was married for a short time. His wife entered into an affair with a Quel'dorei magister in Dalaran, but died in childbirth. Soulein killed the Magister and would have killed his wife if not for her death. The child was raised by the mother's family in secret.
- In his youth, Soulein would have been described as "unfit for military service", having no ambition or killer instinct to speak of. Soulein instead dedicated himself to the study of ancient Lore. After a week of examining a particular tome, Soulein sought election as a Tribune during a short war with the Amani. His change in behavior remains unexplained to this day.
- Soulein has had a secret relationship with The Burning Legion since before the Second War.
- Soulein worked subversively with Kael'thas throughout the Burning Crusade, and retains the loyalty of many in the Sunfury and Dawnblade Legions. With Kael's death, however, Soulein retains no sense loyalty to the King's memory or agenda.

Physical Description: Soulein is tall a broad shouldered Sin'dorei who holds himself with an air of confidence and nobility that leads most to immediately identify him as a warrior or soldier of some kind. Soulein's white hair, tall jaw, and sharp facial features mark him as one of the Solanthanores. His eyes glow emerald with Fel Energy. His shoulder and chest are deeply scarred by multiple blade wounds. Soulein hides a scar around his neck that could only come from a hangman's noose.
