When we hit the 30+ members on in a night (which we have), it's time to spell out some rules. Here they are. Please give your opinion before I make these final. They'll be posted Wednesday so provide feedback quickly:

Guild Chat and Ventrilo Chat
Keep it light hearted, keep it fun, keep it decent. Guild chat is used to chat casually with guildies, set up instances, and relax. No arguing (take it to tells), No flaming, No insulting. No politics/religion/social commentary. Excessive swearing is also discouraged. No begging for gold or PL. Crudeness is also frowned upon. Sex jokes can be cute, but too much of anything is a bad thing. Some people in guild have known each other for years and have the ability to spar with each other. Don't take liberties.

Character Names
Names must be Roleplay Kosher. Names deemed non-rp by the RP Officer will be reported to Blizzard for a name change. If you're rolling a new character as an alt and you want it guilded, it's always wise to ask an Officer if a name is RP appropriate if you're unsure. Keep this in mind:
a) Name should be ONE name, not some cobbled together title (i.e. Shadowdagger, Lordjames)
b) Name should be a pronoun. Don't know what a pronoun is? www.dictionary.com
c) Name should be setting appropriate and not reflect any reference to RL (Real Life)

Sample Bad Names (Will be reported and won't be guilded)
- Mileycyrus
- Lolpwn
- MickeyDee
- Nubkilla
- Vindiesel

Roleplaying Chat and Respect
/say and /yell should be Role Play Only Channels. This means don't type /say lol nub. These channels should be kept for role playing. If you come across people roleplaying, be respectful. If you're disruptive to people trying to RP, that is one of the fastest ways out of the guild.

Raids and Ventrilo
When in a guild raid, keep Ventrilo chat to an absolute minimum, and listen to the Raid Leader and follow directions. Don't like what you're being told to do? That's fine. But do it anyway. Feel free, after the fact, to discuss it. But raid time is not spent debating with the raid leader. The Raid Leader can boot you from raid any time if you refuse to listen, and there will be others wanting your spot. Don't spam Ventrilo telling us that your character died. Chances are we know you died. We don't need commentary.

Don't Be An Ass
This is a very basic and all encompassing rule. If people are telling me you're an ass, chances are, you are. Keep it friendly, keep it relaxed. Racial slurs, calling someone, even jokingly, a "Fag", etc., paint you as an ass. Don't be one. I reserve the right to gkick anyone, without warning, for being an ass (case and severity depending).

Baiting someone, goading them, harassing, antagonizing, and any other adolescent, stupid, or moronic behavior will also get you gkicked.
